Here is the translation of the Certificate of Authenticity included with the Stein:
In 1589, Wilhelm V the Pious founded the Hofbräuhaus in Munich. Whether ducal, electoral, imperial, or royal, the State-owned Hofbräuhaus remains a standard-bearer of the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516.
The mug is handcrafted from genuine German porcelain.
It is not without reason that porcelain has been called "white gold" for centuries. To give the cast blank its characteristically smooth, porous surface, it is fired at approximately 1,300-1,400°C.
The artistic decoration is applied to the mug by hand and depicts the magnificent Hofbräuhaus horse team, a six-horse team of draft horses with a lavishly decorated wagon.
The emblem on the left side of the frame represents the historical
The HB trademark dates back to 1894. The right side depicts the facade of the world-famous Hofbräuhaus am Platzl in Munich.
A genuine hand-cast pewter lid with the brewer's typical
hop cone gives the porcelain mug its special touch. Even today, it is still made and attached by hand using traditional manufacturing methods.
