The vines were planted on hard clays mixed with deep alluvial loam. Vine age gives a density to the wine via small bunches and a strong but velvety tannin structure.
Deep crimson. Dark berry, black olive, sandalwood aromas. Impressively concentrated dark berry espresso, sandalwood flavours and underlying cedar tannins. Finishes chocolatey and crisp with aniseed/ liquorice notes
